God has placed it on my heart to start an informal blog writing my heartfelt thoughts to Him. I will be sharing my unfiltered thoughts on various things. I have a passion for writing and I am getting closer to God, so this mission is perfect!
Today, I will be sharing one of my journal entries (11/6) surrounding the scripture, Matthew 24:35.
Matthew 24:35 KJV
“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”
As I become older, I’m just learning that this world is very fickle. In today’s YouVersion Bible study, Maddie Rey talks about whatever we stand on in the world or culture typically falls through and it does. It’s true. I have tried standing on my education, career, smartness, ability to dress, being popular, etc. Everything fell through. I tried standing on everything except God and His Word. I, too, am worldly. However, I want to strip myself from it, take it out. God has been so good to me while the world has not. I must admit some of it is my fault. But God picked me up through every trial. Every time the world beats on me, he gets me back up. Lord, let me not turn my back on you. You are so lovely. So amazing. Be with my heart. I love the world. Take that love away. I need to love you. Be with me, God. The world is passing away, and you got a new home coming. Amen.
This message placed a thought on my mind to create blog writing letters to God every Monday. I’m thinking Tee’s Pen to God.
